VAIN installation.

Okay, alright... I am finally back to blogging. This time I will honestly be posting more frequently. Today, I would like to share with you a few images from the Ballard Artwalk, more specifically the installation of my collaboration with Claire. The Artwalk was a success despite the horrible downpour outside. Here are few images from the VAIN installation of Claire's lovely postcards and my new collection of jewelry:

VAIN: España collection

I am excited to share a special photo/jewelry collaboration that I have been working on with the wonderfully talented photographer Miss Claire. This past summer, Claire studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain and had the opportunity to travel throughout the country. Before Claire left for Spain, we had had talked about her inspiration for the images--- pictures that would best represent and give a glimpse of the beautiful country.

I really couldn't wait to see and hear about Claire's travels. In this collaboration, I created a new collection of work based off of images that Claire and I had selected from her travels in Spain. It was such a fun experience to look through the photos and to automatically see things that inspired me. Here is a sneak peek of some of the pieces:

Claire's photos turned unique, handmade postcards and my new collection of jewelry will be featured this month in VAIN Ballard. Please come by VAIN for the Ballard Art Walk this Saturday (October 9th). I will be posting more images from the Art Walk as well as introducing pieces from the España collection.

Polish Bazaar.

So I have been a little behind with posting a new blog post. Last week was pretty busy since I was preparing for my first ever craft show/bazaar at the Polish Hall in Seattle. I really didn't know what to expect or even how to prepare. I still had so many questions and uncertainties. Do I have enough things? What do I need to bring? Have I forgotten anything and so on.

However, I am really grateful that I got to take part in the Polish Bazaar. It was definitely a wonderful learning experience. I think even though I had read up on preparing for craft shows---I learned so much more from actually doing it. I took lots of notes on things that I could improve on for next time. I came to realize that this sort of venue for sharing your work with others is really interesting because you get to engage with customers, see people's reaction to your work and it is a bit more personal. I also really enjoyed meeting all the wonderful people that I did! So I think in the future...I do see myself wanting to take part in such venues.

Yes, this is 47th Annual Spring Polish Bazaar! It is a yearly event organized by the Ladies Auxiliary.

The booths upstairs will offer Polish crystal bowl and vases, Boleslawiec pottery, amber and silver jewelry, pottery, crafts, books, Easter eggs and much more.

Downstairs you can enjoy traditional Polish dishes of pierogi, sausage, cabbage rolls etc. served by the young generation of waiters clad in Polish folk costumes. You can also buy home made desserts and pastries. Most of the Puget Sound area Polish organizations would have their booths or info posted. This is usually a quite crowded event, so come early!

Admission and parking is FREE!!!!
