This Thursday, I went to the Seattle Metals Guild Lecture on "Journeys to India: Goldsmithing; A tradition, culture, and art" by Samia Shalabi at Seattle Pacific University. It was really interesting to see how Samia Shalabi works with master goldsmiths in India. I enjoyed hearing about her travels while at the same time learning about the culture and role that goldsmithing places in India. Here are some photos that I took after the lecture:
